Hot Bolting Service for Removing Corroded Bolts and Studs
Hot Bolting is a proven, effective method of preparing bolted joints for disassembly prior to shutdown.
Bolts are loosened one bolt at a time (while in service and hot). Lubricant is applied and Bolts are reassembled or replaced in order. This allows the flange assembly to be easily disassembled cold at a later stage, saving time during the shutdown period for gasket replacement.
Hot Bolting also allows corroded studs or bolts to be removed and replaced, while maintaining the integrity of the joint, as well as eliminating the need for shutdown.
