Hot-Hed® International's Oilfield Equipment Rentals include durable, diesel-driven, Delmag piling hammers for driving casing pipes prior to oil drilling. Our Diesel Piling Hammers are single-acting, free-fall piling hammers which utilize the principle of impact atomization, making them exceptionally cost-efficient to operate.
Our Diesel Piling Hammers consist of upper and lower cylinders in which the piston is led. The Piling Hammer is equipped with a rope-controlled, adjustable fuel pump with 4 settings. This serves to regulate the stroke of the piston and therefore the impact energy. This is of a particular advantage when soil formations change. The maximum stroke of the piston is 3.7M, which varies dependant on soil conditions.
Our Diesel Hammers utilize a tripping device to lift the piston and start the Hammer. Since Hot-Hed®'s Diesel Hammers do not have any piston rods, crank shafts, cams or bearings, they have little wear and are extremely reliable. Our Piling Hammers are nearly maintenance free and can be used on various pile types. Other advantages to Hot-Hed®’s Diesel Pile Hammers are the unmatched ratio of total weight to impact energy (which allows the use of lighter rigs) and the extremely low fuel consumption.
From their rugged design to their reliability and minimal maintenance time, thousands of customers around the world have been convinced that the Hot-Hed® Diesel Pile Hammer is always the right choice for driving wellhead casing pipes before drilling.
